While not the most recent addition to the Vancouver skyline or the tallest, the Library Square Conference centre still manages to take your breath away. In the heart of the entertainment district, just steps from the downtown core, this space offers both versatility and grandeur to its clients. With various rooms that hold from 6 people to 800, the space literally has something for everyone and every type of event; film and photo shoots, conferences, lectures, board meetings, fundraisers and private parties. The Library Square Conference Centre is a favourite spot for weddings and while Kathleen Barber, facility coordinator, agrees that weddings make up a large portion of their business, their other main focus is the non-profit event. In fact, they are one of only a few venues in Vancouver to offer two different rental rates: one for corporate and the other for non-profit. After 14 years and countless happy clients, Barber credits the venue’s success in large part to their knowledgeable staff and to the flexibility they have demonstrated with event planners, brides and clients alike.
