HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I START PLANNING?

As soon as your date and venue are set. Venues, catering companies, DJs, florists, etc. get booked up. Faster during the summer months. Saturdays in July and August, for example, are the first to go. So, the earlier you start planning the better. We recommend that you start planning a minimum of six months in advance to ensure that you get everything to make your celebration special.

DO YOU TAKE CARE OF BAR SERVICES?

Yes! Peake is a full-service caterer; this means that along with our delicious food, we also provide staff, rentals, alcohol and décor. We are fully licensed to serve alcohol, and all of our staff members hold a valid Serving It Right certification. We often host bars with beer, wine & highballs, and our team can work with you to create custom cocktails.

WHEN DO I NEED TO CONFIRM GUEST NUMBERS?

We require final guest numbers 5 business days prior to your event. After this date, we are still able to accommodate minor increases in guest numbers on a case-by-case basis.

DOES THERE NEED TO BE A KITCHEN ONSITE AT MY VENUE?

No. We can build a pop-up kitchen in no time flat that requires extra rentals specific to your menu.

WHAT SERVICE STYLE DO YOU DO?

We can do everything from a formal plated meal, elegant buffet, casual BBQ, family style platters to cocktail parties and interactive Chef's Stations! Inquire with our Event Planners to find the best option suited to your event.

DO YOU DO TASTINGS?

Absolutely, this is a fun part of the planning process having you in our catering home. We’d love to show you what we do best, and help you choose your perfect menu. Our tastings cost between $100-$150 per guest, minimum two guests. We work with our chef to provide a resplendent and relevant presentation of your menu. Tasting cost of two is credited back towards your event over $5000 (food and beverage) should you choose to move forward with us.

DO YOUR MENU PRICES INCLUDE SERVICE STAFF AND RENTALS?

No, we build all catering packages customized to the event itself. The first step is to schedule a call with one of our Event Planners. During this call, we go over everything from the timeline, guest count, service style preferences, menu options, bar options, venue facilities and more. From there, we will put together a customized catering proposal for you.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?

Yes. Our team has a great deal of experience handling all sorts of allergies and dietary restrictions. Let us know your requirements in advance and we will make the necessary adjustments to satisfy your guests.

We are not a nut free facility. Note that for very serious allergies, we cannot fully guarantee that your food is completely allergen free.

CAN I WORK WITH YOU TO DEVELOP A CUSTOM MENU?

Absolutely! We love building custom menus in collaboration with our clients. Speak to our team to learn more.

WHERE DO YOU CATER TO?

Greater Vancouver is our home territory but we’ve been known to go well beyond to the valley, Pemberton private islands, We’ve brought our fine food via land, air, seaplane and boat. Additional travel expenses would be incurred.

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENT?

Yes. This depends on location, date and other factors.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PLACE AN ORDER?

Pending the complexity of your event, the answer is as soon as possible. For corporate orders, five business days in advance is ideal.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LAST MINUTE/RUSH ORDERS?

We are good at last-minute orders but we do reach points where we maximize our days and can’t accept new orders. We want to preserve our excellent food and service and don’t want to compromise your experience. When we can accommodate, extra fees may apply on rush orders to cover additional costs. Being flexible to “Chef’s Choice, always increases the chance last minute orders can be accommodated.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Credit cards, EFT’s, cheques, money orders. Our deposit schedule, on events, requires certain timelines including any held funds that your bank may choose to impose. Other clients are on account with us with normal payment terms. Credit card payments are subject to a processing fee. 

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER? WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED TO START WITH? 

Think about what you would like to eat, how many people, your timeline, delivery and contact details including someone on site and budget and then you’ll be ready. If you are not sure of all details, we are here to guide you.
